Keeping Business Connected

Is it actually possible to run a modern business without a reliable Internet connection in this day and age? We would say not.

And it’s not just about affordable high speed Internet Connectivity, a business needs to be able to speak to its customers and suppliers on the phone and even the smallest need to connect separate devices together within the office such as printers and PC’s.

Altogether, there are more than a few things to think about when conducting business in the digital age.  Not only can it be confusing, it can distract you from your day to day work and damage your business as a result.

This is where a company of experts like DUG can help.

From designing, building, managing and supporting small private office networks to designing and building major Corporate Wireless WANs or running the Voice and Data communications for whole Enterprise Centre, DUG can do it all.  Take a few moments to look below at just what we can do to help - We think you might be a little surprised.

Connecting Business – Quickly and Cost Effectively…

SMBCWith so much of our business lives now reliant on Internet connectivity and computer technology, even the smallest company needs to ensure it is getting the best services it can at the best possible price.

These objectives were very much in mind for our client Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council when they were opening their brand new £2m Enterprise in Chelmsley Wood in 2015. The centres main objective is to provide a safe, supportive and fully connected environment for start-up and early stage companies in the area to grow and develop in. After all, budding entrepreneurs need to concentrate on their business and NOT on how they are going to connect to the Internet or make a phone call.

This is where we come in. Digital Unity Group successfully responded to the Council’s invitation to tender and now DUG’s Central Network Management System and Structured Network forms the communications heart of the Enterprise Centre, allowing us to deliver LAN connectivity, high speed Internet access, low cost VOIP telephony services, FAX and more to individual Tenants and their offices within the centre as well as Free WiFi Internet Access to visitors. As part of the service we also supply, manage and support the computer equipment for the Centres 2 Training rooms, providing full Whiteboard functionality, as well as Web Cam and Skype connectivity.

FlatsBut we haven’t stopped inside of the centre. Through the innovative use of Wireless Technology, the DUG system provides local residents and visitors with free WiFi internet access in the nearby 3 Trees Community Centre, the local School and 2 adjacent Social Housing blocks.

For SMBC and their tenants, the best thing about this service is that not only does it work extremely well, it was designed, delivered and is run at a fraction of the cost they would have paid traditional suppliers.
